Last weekend’s bookfair went great and I’m gearing up for another this Saturday. I’ll be riding there with AR Miller, and we’ll likely do too much gabbing and laughing along the way.

Reviews for SPORE are starting to trickle in to Goodreads, which is awesome and unexpected since the book isn’t released until June. None of the reviews – so far – are from reviewers I’ve contacted, all are people who purchased it at HorrorHound, which makes it even more amazing! This past week or so I’ve been fielding a lot of interview requests from review bloggers, which is fun but difficult. I don’t know how to make my writing methodology interesting, but I’m trying. My calendar is starting to fill up! I have – I think! – a book launch in Cedar Rapids on June 6, another confirmed bookfair July 11 at a coffee shop in Fort Dodge, ICon Iowa in Cedar Rapids this October, at least one talk on craft to high school students, another to aspiring novelists, the annual Montezuma Writer’s Conference, possibly ComicCon Des Moines, and I’m looking at next year’s World Horror and World Fantasy. Plus the sixteen stop blog tour which might expand and probably six or seven things I can’t remember this moment. There will even be audio and video interviews!

Whew! That’s a lot!

I’ve been talking quite a lot with writer friends and have decided to open this blog from time to time for guest posts. That all starts this Saturday when Glenn Rolfe, fellow Samhain author and super sweet and energetic guy, will take over for a spell to talk about being in the Samhain family and his new novella Boom Town.  Next week, I’m hoping to have Aaron Bunce or Cheryl Corbin, whoever will let me twist their arm. So, Saturdays are for guest posts and my own brain musings mid week. I’ll see y’all again Saturday! {{hugs}}
